Then the images are taken and plugged into the computer, where it creates a composite picture from the images and generates a 3D model of your teeth. Once this multi-step process is completed, the instruments are kept in a sterile environment, away from others, until they are ready to be used again.

Safety is built into every phase of our treatment. In the old days, above and below the gum line, it was necessary to scrape the tartar using a hand tool. This can still be performed, but today our hygienists painlessly and comfortably remove the tartar with high-frequency vibrations using the Cavitron Ultrasonic Cleaner. The Cavitron Ultrasonic Cleaner is an effective, painless, and safe alternative to conventional scraping and root planing cleaning methods. It runs at the speed of sound to minimize movement, and to make deep cleaning less of a chore.

The intraoral camera is a diagnostic tool that helps detect potential problems in the mouth early. This is done by taking images of your teeth, gums, and the inside of your mouth, which are projected onto a computer screen, so you get a quick and easy look inside your mouth. The Intraoral Camera will save time in bringing up the problems and making them easily visible to you and our doctors. Since the images are immediately sent to the computer, you can see the problematic areas and discuss your treatment options with your dentist.
